What subjects are in the Grade 12 CAPS curriculum?
The NSC curriculum requires seven subjects: two languages (at least one at home language level), Life Orientation, Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, and three electives chosen from groups that include Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Geography, and History.
How many subjects do I need to pass matric?
To receive the NSC certificate, you must pass seven subjects: at least 40% in three subjects, at least 30% in three others, and at least 20% in your remaining subject. The minimum requirements are different for a Bachelor's pass, Diploma pass, and Higher Certificate pass.
